Things are going to be busy over the
next few months. I look forward to meeting many of you from the
MySQL community over the next few months. I would also like to pass
along my thanks for the MySQL Community Award, we (not just Dave and I but everyone here) are just getting
started...
April 22nd -26th - starts things off for the
MySQL Community Team. Dave Stokes and I will be presenting at
different two sessions and available in the demo grounds at
Collaborate in Vegas.
May 2nd -- MySQL heads to
the big apple for an OTN Developer Day in NYC. Ronald Bradford as well as Calvin Sun are among some of the
speakers for this event.
May 7th -11th -
MySQL will be attending the Ubuntu Developer Summit in Oakland Calif. Tuesday
looks to be a full day of MySQL and Ubuntu talks. I am sure many of
the topics will be related to MySQL 5.5, MySQL 5.6 DMR
, the db forks, and how we can support the Linux Distros in the future.
May 18th, the Rocky
Mountain Oracle Users Group (RMOUG) has included MySQL to take part
in their quarterly meetings. The MySQL Community team as well as
Ronald Bradford (MySQL Oracle ACE Director )and George Trujillo
(Oracle ACE in two different categories one being MySQL) will be in
attendance and presenting.
June 5th and 6th
-- MySQL will be at the International PHP Conference in Berlin.
Ulf Wendel will be presenting 2 great MySQL sessions.
June 5th -- will also be
the MySQL Innovation Day at Oracle headquarters. Get a sneak peak of what’s new and what’s coming from leading Oracle MySQL engineers. If you cannot attend
a live webcast will be available for some sessions.
June 8th – 10th
The MySQL Community team again will join forces at the Southeast LinuxFest (SELF). This time for a MySQL Day and this is looking like it will have a
great lineup of MySQL presenters.
June 26th – 29th
– I will be attending Edmedia, a World Conference on Educational
Media and Technology, in support of MySQL.
July 14th – 15th
– The Community Leadership summit in Portland Oregon
July 16th – 20th

September 29th & 30th
– MySQL CONNECT in San Francisco !
